Lorry Pull & Charity Auction

Falmouth Golf Club

Scott Pedlar, 2016-17 Captain of Falmouth Golf Club chose The Sunrise Appeal as his charity of the year. Just before Christmas a cheque for £2,600 was presented to our treasurer who can be seen here with Scott Pedlar (left) & the current Club Captain, William McLean (right).

New Year’s Honours List

We are very pleased to announce that Janet Shephard, one of our founding trustees and former head of department at the Sunrise Centre, has been awarded the British Empire Medal in the 2018 New Year’s Honours List. This is in recognition for her services to cancer care in Cornwall.

Mrs Maureen Sutherland

The Sunrise Appeal was delighted to be one of three local charities chosen by the Late Mrs Maureen Sutherland as beneficiaries to her Will. In March 2018 we received a final payment of £2,172.88 making Mrs Sutherland’s total legacy £82,172.88. This will enable us to continue to help provide vital equipment
