Dan & Bernie recently celebrated their 20th Wedding Anniversary and chose to ask invitees to support the Sunrise Appeal instead of giving them gifts.

They had an amazing evening and Bernie has, in her own words, written a post for us to use on our Website & Facebook pages.

 

“We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary on the 8th August and held a party to raise some funds for The Sunrise Appeal. All monies raised on the night were donated to this cause in memory of Bernie’s Mother and Brother, Dan’s Father and all our other friends and family members we’ve sadly lost over the years.

There was a large raffle on the night and we asked those invited to buy raffle tickets instead of cards or presents. The raffle was followed by a small auction of items which were, along with the raffle prizes, all kindly donated by local businesses.

As well as the monetary donations we wanted to provide the staff with a care hamper of snacks and drinks as a token of appreciation for how hard they work in what must be a difficult job.

We raised a fantastic £3,550 ❤️
